Delicious Poha Recipe

Poha is a popular Indian breakfast dish made with flattened rice, vegetables, and spices. Here's a recipe for making delicious poha:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flattened rice (poha)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 potato, chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of peanuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the poha in cold water for a minute, drain the water and set it aside to soften.
  2. In a pan, heat the oil and add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  3. Add the chopped onion, green chili and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add the chopped potato and peanuts and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the potato is cooked.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add the softened poha and mix well until everything is well combined. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with lemon wedges.

Your delicious poha is ready to serve! Enjoy it as a healthy and satisfying breakfast or snack
